The Decatur ISD Bond Planning Committee plays an important role in shaping the future of our district’s facilities and programs. Building upon the findings and priorities outlined in the Decatur ISD Long-Range Plan, the committee will assess and evaluate a variety of scenarios and potential project solutions to meet student and district needs. Through open discussion and collaboration, members will work toward committee consensus and recommend a clear path of action to the Board of Trustees.

The Decatur ISD Board of Trustees has until February 13 to officially call for a May election. The Board is scheduled to meet during its regular meeting on February 9 to officially vote on whether to call for a May bond election.

The bond package was developed through a community-driven process that included input from the Bond Planning Committee comprised of a cross-section of the community, along with feedback from the broader community. Together, those perspectives contributed to the evolution of the initial plan and helped define the final plan for McCarroll Middle School.
